Add some volume to shorter hair

If you have shorter hair, perhaps a slightly grown out bob or a length just above your shoulders you will probably feel curls won’t work however there are other styles that you can create using your ghd hair straightners to give your hair some oomph. By adding some volume and creating some flicks, you can give your hair a whole different look.

1. To achieve the best results you need to blow dry you hair as well as applying ghd thermal protector, the thermal protector will give your hair protection from the heat of the hairdryer, reducing split ends and minimising damage. As you dry your hair use a round brush to add volume in at the root.

2. Section off your hair into two by placing your thumbs above your ears and drawing a line around your head until they meet, section off the top part of your hair with a clip.

3. Place your ghd straightener in at the root and slowly glide down your hair careful not to pull on it then when you reach the ends flick out away from your head. Continue this method throughout the rest of your hair.

4. For the top section follow the same method until you reach the ends here you want to pull the styler under to create a smooth finish.

Casual summer looks

Warmer weather, lighter nights and brighter days means only one thing, we are heading into summer, it’s a great time of year for you guys to try some casual summer looks that not only look stylish but will also keep you cool when you need it to. The spring summer catwalks feature a lot of colour for designer menswear, a great transition from the drab colours of winter, so let’s have a look at great ways to enjoy this cool colour infusion.

Simple casual fashion basics

Many of you guys will probably have a decent collection of jeans so you won’t need to really worry about those however what to wear with them is the question, light comfy clothing is essential over the summer you don’t want anything that will be too stuffy, t-shirts are a definite must, mix them with light shirts, long sleeved and short sleeved for a casual day and night look. Polo shirts are also a popular choice for summer, they look smart and tidy and are great with jeans or shorts, for a smart, dressed down look wear with either plimsolls or boat shoes great for a casual evening out.

The main thing to remember is to keep it simple, don’t go overboard with accessories either and you should be able to be cool and look casual over the summer.

Men’s Fashion: Keeping it simple

Not every guy is a style expert, probably far from it however there are ways to keep stylish without much effort and that keeping it simple. For those who don’t particularly like shopping, buying the basics is a great way to have simple style. You don’t have to follow the trends instead opt for non fashion items that are wardrobe staples and don’t tend to really go out of fashion. Summer is a great time to mix and match your wardrobe to get the most out of it.

Jeans are a staple in anyone’s wardrobe, and are also great for the summer as we are not known to have that many scorching days, straight cut darker denims are a great base for any style, simple and go with anything. For a smarter look accessorise your jeans with a belt, preferably the same colour as your shoes! Shirts, long sleeved and short sleeved are always handy to have to smarten up any look, as well as t-shirts and polo shirts and if you like the style vest tops are also good for summer.

During the warmer summer months you probably won’t want to be wearing your heavy trainers and shoes so why not opt for some light shoes such as plimsolls and when and if it gets hot have some flip flops ready.

Once you have your wardrobe staples sorted out you can then look for a couple of accessorise to mix and match for your looks, sunglasses, hats and if its chilly a light scarf.

Promoting local sports clubs

If you run or take part in local sports clubs such as local football teams, tennis clubs, cricket clubs or boxing clubs then you know how hard it is to get recognition for them and promote them in the surrounding area. One way is to use t shirt printing as a way of advertisement, making clothing available which promotes the local clubs that members and supports can wear, increasing notoriety, like sports league clubs do.

Online printing companies such as www.splashlogo.co.uk have a wide range of clothing and accessories available which can be printed on, with your specific needs in mind, using a wide range of techniques that last, such as digital transfer, embroidery, subli flock or DTG printing. You can have your clubs logo placed on many different things that can be sold to raise funds such as mugs and key chains as well as supporting t shirts. Its also a great way to get your local community involved in the local sports leagues.

Dress to impress

For many years style for man has taken a back burner, with little attention being paid to its importance but now finally men are at last starting to pay attention to what they wear. This is probably down to their being more male orientated lifestyle magazines, websites and blogs around which off help with designer menswear.

It’s know to make a good impression you have to dress to impress whether for a job interview, on a first date, or any occasion when you want to present yourself in a favourable light. With so much choice out there where do you start?

A good suit is always a must in any mans wardrobe whether you have to wear one or not, you never know when you may need to wear one.

Jeans, a good pair of smart dark denim jeans, straight leg or boot cut for smart wear are good, especially teamed with a smart shirt. A casual and slightly lighter pair of jeans will be handy for slightly less smart wear.

Shirts, (ironed) t-shirts and polo shirts are also a wardrobe must in various colours so you can mix and match for different occasions.

Military Chic

The military fashion trend that is a year round fashion favourite, morphing each season into something new and funky and the army trend took over the runways at Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Rag & Bone, Jean Paul Gaultier and Balmain. This spring summer the military trend has got more of a feminine feel to it and the fashion style have become a bit more softer, mixing light shirt dresses, blouses and skirts with tough rigger boots and kaki trench coats and jackets.

A key colour for this trend is normally khaki but you can also opt for earthy green tones, murky greys and accessories with bright tan. The best was to wear it is not go head to toe but mix key elements like khaki shorts with a plain vest top or t-shirt in an earthy tone. Army style tops are great with worn denim shorts or skirts and if you have a light creamy summer dress toughen it up with a green military coat.

More than just a photograph

There was a time when all you could do with a family photograph was pop it in a frame and place it on your mantelpiece, now though the possibilities are endless. People are spending huge sums on turning their pictures into giant works of art for their wall, using t shirt printing to have their pictures on clothing and bags and even putting the pictures on key rings, mugs and even cakes.

In total, £45million a year is spent on making artwork and gifts out of photo’s such as baby pictures, holiday snaps, graduations and specific events, and this trend doesn’t seem like it will disappear as people find more uses for their pictures. If you fancy putting some of your own snaps onto clothing, bags or mugs then look no further than online printing company Splash Logo, they have a huge range of clothing to choose from with different methods of printing available.

Fret not you don’t have to put your ghd hair straighteners away, many styles this year can be easily created with them yourself to get the catwalk look.

Firstly waves a back and big and were seen on Bluemarine and Pucci. This is probably the most wearable trend of the summer from mid length hair to luscious long locks add glamour with Hollywood style waves in your hair. You can either go glam and sleek or opt for a beachy wave look.

The fringe, opt for a side sweeping fringe for shorter hair and add a light fringe to soft waves as seen on Giorgio Armani and Twenty8Twelve.

Volume, the bouncy blow-dry as seen on perky 1940’s house wives is hot for summer and is a great look for mid length hair, ala Dior and Tommy Hilfiger.

Straight and sleek, something ghd straighteners have helped up perfect was seen on the catwalks at Anna Sui and Stella McCartney, glass like shine on any length of from short sleek bobs to long locks.
