Say what you feel

Fashion or what people choose to wear can sometimes be dictated by what celebrities we like wear, after all they often get the chance to wear a lot of clothing before it hits the stores. You can always tell when something is going to be popular as many celebs will be sporting a certain look/style or must have item of clothing.

This year many TV stars, actresses, singers and socialites have been parading around in t shirts with quirky logo’s and designs on. The most popular is designs by Wildfox with their notable love potion collection, however their hefty price tags mean many of us mere mortals probably are not willing to spend £50 + on a t shirt. This is where t shirt printing comes in you can create your own designs similar to those sported by celebrities.

You can then use a printing company such as www.splashlogo.co.uk to bring your ideas to life they offer a huge range of clothing in many styles and sizes that you can have your final design printed on.

Hello sailor holiday

The nautical look is in fashion this season, an ideal time to flaunt this look is on holiday you can be excused for going a bit over board but just remember not too much. Blue is an all important colour in this look either block, striped or spotty for a retro feel, and working it against a white backdrop like white linen trousers or  pretty white dresses makes it stand out.

Key accessories if you going for simple style nautical clothing are broaches, bracelets, necklaces and hats in a funky hello sailor style. Red also goes well and can make an outfit pop when you have slight hints. A good thing to remember when wearing any kind of style like this is not to go too over the top you don’t want to look like your captaining a vessel or a shipmate!

However not everyone likes to draw attention to what they are wearing but never fear the plain t-shirt will always be here. You can either opt for the safe but still sexy white t-shirt or lighter spring colours such as pale blue or pale green and if you a little more daring maybe some brights!

Jimmy Choo trainers?

For years Jimmy Choo’s stiletto heels has been the aspiration of many a shoeaholic with their dangerously high heels and red carpet glamour however the brand have now moved to also designing, strangely of all things unglamorous, trainers.

For a change putting comfort first their trainers still offer a sense of style found in their shoes and also a sense of expense with exotic patent leather, purple snakeskin and silver suede costing up to £395. There are 8 designs available which are been snapped up quickly by many a fashionista but there is a lengthy waiting list which has been set up in advance of their arrival available on the Jimmy Choo website.

Jimmy Choo president, Tamara Mellon said. “The high-top design is sleek, lux and combines a hint of old school trainer style with a glamorous yet effortlessly cool look,’ she said.’I’m looking forward to wearing mine.”

Dress to the max!

When summer finally hits it will be a great time to wear this seasons must own, the maxi dress. Now although a big fashion hit they are not suitable for everyone to wear, and not all styles suit everyone either, but for those who suit them there is a great choice of styles and patterns to choose from so now is the time to start looking at this must have fashion item.

Now for those who can wear maxi dresses they are not only flattering but also practical especially for those who don’t like baring their legs, they also can be dressed up for glam evening wear at a special occasion or dressed down for a casual summer evening. One of the things to look at when buying them is length, if your are tall normally maxi dresses are great when you wear them with pretty sandals as the bottom just skims the floor however can look slightly off when worn with sky high heels. The same goes if your shorter the bottom can end up dragging across the floor if you don’t wear them with heels, however the only plus side for shorter people is that you can have your dress altered to suit.

Bright patterns and tribal prints are big too this season and are popular designs for maxi dresses, it just depends how brave you are, if you don’t feel comfortable wearing a brash pattern why not try a block colour instead.

Double Denim

Chaps, it’s time to dig out your trusty battered old denim jacket and wear it proudly with your jeans. Thanks to the fashion demi-god that is David Beckham, it’s time to wear as much denim as you can at the same time – we’re talking denim shirts, denim jackets, and of course jeans.

To make this look work for you, there are a few golden rules to follow – after all, the Shakin’ Steven’s look is not for everyone…

1.Mix your colours – don’t go for pale top and bottom. Dark jeans and pale jacket works.

2.Try a dark denim shirt over a plain white t-shirt and pale washed jeans for a casual look.

3.To avoid the trucker look fasten your jacket up to the neck – don’t wear it open and avoid, at all costs, a checked lumberjack shirt.

4.Banish the cowboy boot – that’s just a step too far. Go for a pump or biker boot.

5.If you’re going for a fitted jacket, wear a loose fit jean. The G-Star Raw range of men’s clothing with has great jeans in a variety of cuts and styles.

6.Go vintage – the distressed look works with double, or even triple, denim. Wear your jeans with a turn up for a retro twist.

Don’t think this is just a celebrity look – make it work for you and experiment with fit, colour and style. Embrace the denim shirt for summer and layer it with vests, t-shirts and, if you dare, a denim waistcoat.

This summer, it’s all about the denim.

T Shirt Printing with Surplus Cash

If your company has a surplus of cash and needs to spend some for tax reasons then buying branded clothing is ideal as all vat can be claimed back as well.

T shirt printing is a great way to get all your staff branded with the company logo and more. Hoodies and jackets can also be branded.

Polo shirts will keep your staff cool through the summer and warm in the winter, Hoodies are also a great item for summer even if it’s slightly cool you might prefer to have a hoodie to hand to keep you warm in a breeze.

Buying in bulk will save you money as its easier and quicker to print larger amounts of t shirts and hoodies

Hair styling

This season’s hair trends are all about either letting it hang loose or pilling your hair high, so you can ditch your ghd hair straighteners and not worry too much about having perfectly placed hair!

When drying your hair before styling you want to aim for a dishevelled look circa 1980 so apply mousse to your roots and protector spray to the ends and tip your head upside down and blast the roots for a blow out look.

Long sun-kissed tresses lightly tousled are big news this season however you need to make sure your locks aren’t dry and damaged otherwise you will have the straw effect. Focus on the sea sprayed texture look by using ghd sea spray, it contains UVA to protect your hair from harmful sunrays so not only does it style well but looks after your hair too!

The main thing to remember for looks this season is that they should look should look as natural and effortless as possible so aim for the ‘anti-do’.

Nude – can you work it?

This season the catwalks were brimming with nude and buff shades, providing a welcome feminine touch to women’s fashion. Expect this pretty colour to appear everywhere for summer. It’s not an easy one to pull off though – this pasty shade can make you look washed out so it’s vital that you do your colour balancing homework and find the right shade for your skin tone. Get it right and it’s a stunning combination – check out Victoria Beckham in her own Grecian creation.

If you’re a pale and interesting English rose, nude can really flatter your light skin tone. Look for nudes with a hint of beige to compliment the pink hue in your skin. If you’re an olive-skinned beauty, look for a shade on the pink spectrum to really enhance your natural radiance. If you’re dark skinned, you’re lucky enough to be able to carry off most shades of nude and it’s a great colour for you.

For all its subtlety, nude is a colour that requires confidence and nerve, after all it’s a sexy look so be brave. Start slowly and layer up with a creamy ecru t-shirt or a baby pink lacy cardigan – get used to the shade before you wear it head-to-toe. It’s not just designer clothing that’s embracing the natural look, it’s starting to filter through to the high-street; see M&S for a gorgeous buttery soft leather skirt or Top Shop for innocently cute satin and lace dresses and skirts in a pretty eggshell and buff shades that are just perfect for summer.

If you want to add a feminine touch to your wardrobe then the new nudes are just for you.
