Dress Gordon Tartan

As the name suggests, the dress Gordon tartan has been ideally suggested as a form of light and bright wear. This tartan has its own unique style and has been suggested as a wedding wear for the users. The Gordon dress tartan has a much brighter look and lighter feel, as compared to most of the other tartans available in these categories. The use of the bright colors for accentuating hues and bringing out lights has been successfully used for weddings.

The common colors used in the Gordon dress include royal blue, dark gold orange, green, white and black. The Gordon dress tartan can be used for making the belted plaid, which is very long and requires 6 ells of double tartan cloth. This can be worn wrapped around the body and it is held in place by a waist belt. The lower part of the Gordon dress tartan has been left loose with pleats for forming the kilt. And the upper half gathered together drapes over one shoulder and is left hanging down the back. Even the use of a brooch on the shoulder can be done for keeping the outfit in place and look stylish enough for a wedding.

Irish National Tartan

The Irish National tartan has a history of its own and this beautifully woven and created tartan has been worn by the national descendants of the Emerald Isle all over the world. Even though its association with the history of the Emerald Isle remains strong as ever, the Irish National tartan has now been used by thousands of people around the world, for purposes other than making kilts. The colors of the Irish National tartan include the colors like green and dark green along with black and white.

The colors used here also include tones of yellow with some modern designs including hues of blue and dark blue also. The Irish National tartan can be made from Polyviscose or wool. However the hypoallergenic properties of the Irish National Tartan are important. Most of the times, these tartans are now made with non wool fabrics because of its greater ease of cleaning.

These Irish national tartans, which can be purchased off the shelf by users and it, can also be woven to order. Usually the Irish national tartans in silks are also woven in Scotland and this has been done to ensure that the fabric is of the highest quality and smooth to feel.

Dark Island Tartan

The Dark Island tartan is one of the most unique styles of tartans available since ancient times. The unique factor about the Dark Island style is that it has a subtle black-on-black shadow set, which enables the creation of an on-trend look. This Dark Island range is unique and striking.

The Dark Island tartan has been made from 100% pure new wool tartans, which are made from the top quality Scottish mills. The Dark Island tartan comes with a tuck-in selvedge along with a piece dyed for a stylish tone. This dyed piece of the Dark Island has been known for its tone-on-tone ’shadow’ tartan. This set pattern of the Dark Island tartan can subtly give the reproduced effects for kilts and help their creation with a difference.

The Dark Island tartan is available in the shades of black and navy and this is the most unique feature of this tartan. These materials can be used only for garments and not any other purposes due to its dark hues. However when worn with the right cut and design, the Dark Island tartan emerges as a winner for formal occasions or even for ceremonies where the use of bright colors is not required or feasible.
